Collegiate nationals are just two weeks away… Which school do you think is going to win/what do you think are the schools to watch?
GOOOO DRAKE!!!
well the 4 of us that are racing or something.
Should be a good time i havent been to texas for at least… well this weekend.
I have no idea whos going to be good, i will never count out army or navy. But im sure university of colorado will be up there along with someone from California.
I know Iowa State is bringing down a bunch of people. There are at least 2 that can go sub 2 maybe three. It should be fun anyways.
Mine!
UCSD.
At least our women’s team will be one to watch, I don’t know how well our men’s team will do. Our women took 1st at the WCCTC conference championships, and carried our overall into 2nd place, so watch out!
Do you know the results/where to find the results of all of the collegiate regionals?
I just know CU dominated the Mountain Conference-- winning both men, women,&overall.
Hmmm…good question. It looks like each conference has their own website.
mwctc.org
sectc.usat-se.org

wcctc.pengra.com
mctcnetwork.com
I don’t really follow much of this stuff, I just race. ![]()

You did Oceanside today? How did it go? PS: COLORADO IS GOING TO WIN IT ALL. ![]()
Yeah, it was my first half! I had an awesome swim, passed hundreds of people. Saw the full rainbow of swim caps (first silver, then blue, then red, green, purple, lol) 28:xx for that. The bike ended up even better than I had hoped. If it wasn’t for those stupid hills from miles 30-40, I could have averaged about 23 mph. I ended up with 2:53:xx for that part. Then came the real fun part…not. About 1.5 months ago I had problems with Achilles tendinitis, which I had gotten rid of a few weeks ago. Well that little jaunt through the sand brought it back worse than before, and I ended up hobbling my way to a 2:38:xx half marathon. 6:09:xx all told, which was a little disappointing, but I’m still happy to have finished it. Won’t be doing another one for a while though ![]()
And we’ll see who ends up winning it all. Don’t forget, our women’s team were champs last year (but the top girl, Amanda Felder, won’t be racing with them this year.) Another team to watch is Berkeley.
Next year I’ll be racing at nationals (assuming all goes well), then we’ll see who wins it! ![]()
Are you doing the Collegiate Sprint?
No, I don’t want to pay to go to Texas just for the sprint. Our team pays for everyone who is racing at nationals (I believe), but if I were to do the sprint I would have to pay my own way. I considered it, but it’s not worth it.
Besides, after tearing up my achilles today, I’m gonna have to rest as much as possible before Wildflower.
