My dad grew up in California, PA. California University of Pennsylvania was located there. The naming convention always made me chuckle.
My buddy went to college there because of the environmental science program. The school mascot is the Vulcans, which is unique. It is one of the most remote places I have been to in PA. Train tracks and the Monongahela River flowing north through campus. There was an abandoned elementary school behind his apartment and we were able to get in through the basement window and explore the place. That was really dumb and really cool.

IU has played five Top-10 ranked teams this season and the average margin of victory was 27 points.
They are a machine.
What impresses me is they have IIRC zero 5 star recruits and few NFL prospects.

True, but having the probable #1 overall pick as your quarterback doesn’t hurt. It’ll be interesting to see how Mendoza pans out in the NFL. Unfortunately he’ll probably end up with the dumpster fire known as the Raiders. But yes, I’d rather have a team of hungry, coachable 3 stars, then a bunch of prima donna, looking for my next NIL deal 4 and 5 stars.

I’m curious if he has caught lightning in a bottle or if this is sustainable. He found 2 really good QB’s in the transfer portal. But that defense is legit.

The ACC and virginia tech should be embarrassed and more proof that the Group of Four are out to screw the other leagues. Why cancel the JMU game, why not cancel the VMI game? Instead of screwing JMU how about you bring them in to even out your disaster of a conference schedule.
