Since Whole Foods stopped making their 365 Verve bars (Clif bar knockoff, ~$.70 each) I’m on the prowl for cheap clif bars. I’ve googled a bit and briefly find that the cheapest price seems to be $10/box of 12 shipped.
I’m hoping for cheaper, and since I haven’ been looking for Clif bars for very long, hoping someone has invented the wheel already.

They have them at my local grocery store (Giant Foods) for 89 cents.
where are you? trader joes used to be pretty cheap and walmart has them for under a $ all of the time.
This makes me laugh and cry at the same time…
If I want a powerbar (can’t get clif bars here) I have to fork out SFR 3.80 - that’s about $3.25 of your play money. Granted the exchange rate sucks, but it would still be way more than in the states.

That’s Swiss Francs, right? Don’t you guys just train on Toblerone and Ricola? 
Yeah, that would be swiss francs. We do have Toblerone, I suppose you could consider that an energy bar :), but Ricola is sugar-free.
$10 a box is a good price (do you pay tax or S & H ?)
Lowest I’ve gotten is $11.98 / box at Performance

Search on Amazon.com and they come up for $9.99/box. They’re elgible for the ‘free shipping on orders over $25’ promotion if you buy enough boxes of them.
. . . the three cheapest non-WalMart options:
1 - Through Amazon you can get a 24 variety box of Chocolate Chip Peanut Crunch, Black Cherry Almond, Peanut Butter for $18.99. Buy two boxes and get free shipping, for a per bar cost of $.79 each. Downside is lack of flavor choice.
2- Also through Amazon, they have 12 packs of Peanut Butter only for $9.99 each, also eligible for the free shipping, so a cost of $.83 per bar. Again, no flavor choices.
3 - at http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/clif/clif.htm you can get 12 packs of any flavor for $10.99/12 with shipping maxing out at $5.99. So the more you buy, the better the price, but for comparison to choice #1, say you buy 4 boxes. Then you pay $1.04/bar with your choice of flavors.
Anyone with better options online please post.

12 pack going for 7.99…thats like $0.666 per bar…

funny, ‘used’ clif bars cost more than new ones, I wonder if you have to pay extra for the ‘processing’

I’m sure they didn’t reduce the price per powerbar when the dollar declined in value to less than 1.20sFr. But I am sure you will have to pay more once the dollar climbs back to 1.80. Sad but funny at the same time.
Sad because the stores make so much money with the currency exchange. Funny because so many customers still buy them at that price
Sign up for the email specials at places such as trisports.com and all3sports.com. You can often get things like 15% off all trisports products. Then order 5 or 6 boxes of clif bars, and you’ll be set until the next coupon comes your way.
