Cold Weather Su*ks (30 MPH winds)

Even here in Florida the weather is COLD. It was supposed to be 50 today (bbrrr)…the weather man lied like a rug!! I rode 20 miles this afternoon and about froze to death. Checked the Weather Channel when I got back home and found the temp was only 45!!! AND winds up to 30 miles per hour from the cold North. 10 miles South and 10 miles into the head wind on the way back. 28 mph out…17 on the way back : )

Its one of the few days per year that I had to wear all the cold weather junk…socks (oh my god…socks in the cycling shoes…yuch!), gloves (no finger gloves though), du rag (under the helmet), arm warmers over my long sleeve jersey, and god forbid fleece lined leg warmers (thin lining though). It took me 5 minutes just to put all the stuff on. I really hate that!

It was 9 below when I rode in this morning.
I wore socks also, but arm warmers were not needed.

I agree…it did not get above 40 here in Atlanta today! AACK!..my pool pump with a thermostat set at 38 did not shut off ALL DAY!!..I am taking my wife to Jamaica in 10 days…for her birthday! yee haaa

Gimme a break. It’s 9 degrees here with a -5 degree wind chill.

Do what hundreds of thousands of people have done over the last few years. Move to Phoenix.

Today was 75 degrees and we’re looking at 78 by this weekend. Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Actually we are looking in Arizona for our next business. We’ve been looking at Sedona. A HOT bed for Bed and Breakfasts. We are also looking at Colordao Springs where I can rejoin the National Ski Patrol and have more time to join cycling clubs and rides.
