So proud of our friend and a true gentleman. Not only does he come back to win but breaks EIGHT HOURS!!! Lionel and Cody put on a great show. Watched this all day and must admit it brought back memories of these two racing head to head in our race series. Cody Beals you deserve everything you have achieved!!
Great performance! I have said in other threads that he is my dark horse pick for Kona.
I think Cody cranked out the perfectly paced Ironman in a very spikey hilly course, its hard to stay contained and then put down a “Dave Scott” like run…that 2:42 today at Tremblant is for the ages. Hopefully he has a good recovery before Kona as he can be in contention being totally balanced in all three.

Sub 8 on that course is legit. Must be a course record?
The old course record was 8:10:36 which he set when he won last year. Before that the course record was TJ Tollakson’s 8:16:17 from 2014
He just keeps getting better. I really wished I could’ve watched this race!
