Cockpit upgrade 3T Aura Pro on Cervelo P2

I have a 2012 Cervelo P2 with 3T Aura Pro cockpit/bars. I am thinking about 1) adding some angle upwards to the bars and maybe 2) replacing the elbow pads with something more adjustable, comfortable, with more forearm support. I’m trying to determine what my options are for wedge/angle and arm pads that will screw into the 3T Aura Pro base bar bold holes. I appreciate the guidance from anyone with direct experience doing this.

I saw some YouTube video a while back about wedges you can insert underneath the aerobars? Does anyone know ones that are compatible with the 3T Aura Pro?

Hey Ted.

Saw that no one has responded to your query so thought I would chime in. I have the 3T aura pro bars on my P3. When I upgraded to Zipp Vuka Evo 110 extensions, I felt like I needed to angle the arm pads to make it more comfortable. I ordered some Aero Coach angled spacers and with some finagling with a couple thin washers, I made it work.

Ultimately I couldn’t get use to the bars, made my wrists hurt, so I sold the bars and the wedges on Marketplace. The guy who bought them was appreciative of the angled wedges.

I currently have the 51 speedshop high sided arm cups and love them. Massive upgrade over the original 51 SS cups I purchased years ago to update the aura pro arm pads. So much lighter too.

I have been considering buying the Profile Design Wing 20C+ bars since the extension angle is adjustable as opposed to having to rotate the entire base bar like I do on the aura pro. Not to mention the aura pro extensions are a PITA to adjust. Plus you can get the needed riser kit that is now impossible to find for the aura pro. And not terribly expensive either (if you have the budget).

Hope you get it figured out.

Cheers,

Melissa
