Coaching websites

So I was looking at a pretty well known coaches website. He/She lists several of their athletes with some of the athletes accomplishments. I know one of the athletes - this particular coach did not coach him/her to these accomplishments (and they are pretty big accomplishments). Is this ethical? Even if the athlete could care less, wouldn’t someone looking at this site be mislead? It seemed to me this was a bit like fudging on a resume. What sayeth the Slowtwitch crowd?

I personally wouldn’t take credit for anything my athletes have done before they started working with me. Now, having an athlete profile with more complete bio and history might be a bit different but I would still be careful how it was presented.

No. It’s not ethical.
Will some people be misled. Yep.
Should we care? Nope.

There’s a pretty big name in triathlon coaching which is pretty good at that. He’s also been an online coach for 20 years, which means that at least he had email in the mid-80’s. Pretty impressive
