Coaching suggestions

greetings all, would like some of your input re:coaches. i travel for a living so when i workout i’d like to make it to be as productive as possible. i can’t do tri’s anymore, 2 messed up knees means no running, but i still ride and swim when i can. also being on the road means 1/2-3/4 of my meals are on airport food, mmmmm, yummy.

i’ve read, and am re-reading, carmichael’s latest book and have pondered signing up for his prog. for 6 mos. to give it a try. i live in the dallas area, denton to be more specifice for those fam. with the are. anyone in the area have a coach, or poss. anyone have a coach they are happy with and would recommend that also does coaching via phone/email? is anyone using CTS for their coaching needs? are ya’ happy or unsatisified with 'em?

thanks for reading and appreciate any input,

jason

I suggest you check out www.tripower.org - Mike Plumb

Mike is helping me to achieve training and results that would have taken years to figure out on my own, if ever at all. Delivered weekly via email.

He makes the most of my limited training time and really does an excellent job of mixing in just the right amount of hard work with recovery, enough so that the workouts are tough, but not so hard that I cannot complete them and recover for the next day.

I expect that my overall 40k wattage will raise by at least 40w by next summer (290w to 330w avg for 40k) with Mike’s training, and help me to set a goal of a 54~ minute 40k TT at the USCF Cal. state TT championships.

hey gary, thanks for the info. i’ll check out your coach’s site and give him a call. thanks for your time.
