I want to buy a set of clincher wheels for my bike. I have PlanetX 101 808 at the moment but I dont want tubs any more. I guess I can go up to £1500 for a set of wheels and I want deep rims or even a disk on the back would be ok. Any ideas of what I should get? I cant afford Zipps by the looks of it as I want deeper than the 404 and Hed just dont exist at that price. Thought about Blackwells but they seem to have gone bust!
If anyone has an idea please let me know and if anyone wants to Part Exchange or sell please also let me know
I am in Denmark so would need to have the wheels sent here.
Thanks
Johan

Get a rebranded Zipp Disc and a handbuilt deep carbon clincher with carbon hub for less than your stated budget. Sweet ass wheels.
Reynolds Strikes are 66mm and can be bought for around $1000 on ebay.
Renn makes some clinchers in 58mm and 85mm that can be paired for around $900.
Flashpoint and SRAM make 60mm and 80mm deep wheels - around $1200 for a set, or less if used. These two are heavier because of aluminum braking surfaces.
What about an Hed Jet 90 front and a Hed Jet disc rear
http://www.racewheelsuk.com/HED.htm
or Cheaper would be a set of Sram S80s
.
We could get you a HED Jet 9 front and a Jet Disc for right around $2000 (USD) We have many wheel options for you at that price range
.
If you don’t mind sacrificing 15mm of depth compared to 404s, check out http://www.velocityusa.com/default.asp?contentID=699 for a rim that’s dirt cheap.
Velocity makes a nice product but those b43s are super heavy. At 42mm deep you can get an h+son rim for right around 100 usd and is much lighter.
Where are the h+sons available in the US? As rim only, or complete build?
