Velocity Spartacus Wheelset with Michelin pro tires is faster then my reflex tufo s33 tires wheels I have now .
Ok I an drinking the kool-aide.
I want to try clinchers
i can get a set of these clincher wheels cheep used .
do you think I will notice they are faster ?
is this OK training /race wheel for 168 lbs rider ?
I have a old uni cover is it to oldschool

Do you ride clinchers in training? If so, then just do your own test of the tubulars vs clinchers with similar profile rims. You won’t notice that one is faster than the other just by feel; the biggest difference I noted was that the Tufos felt really rough riding. The clock is where I predict you will notice the most difference, assuming you can can do enough repetitions under similar conditions to draw a useful conclusion.

i don’t have clinchers wheels
just 32 spoke x 3 wheels reflex rims
how deep does a rim need to be to be a faster wheel ?
and how much time does a wheel with half the spokes (16 ) save ?

Yes.

Yes. The Sparticus uses a Deep V rim which is basically bombproof. It also doesn’t hurt that the rim depth is 30 mm for aerodynamics.
