Classic Pinarello: Big Mig's Rig

Anybody else see this? Pretty cool. Did Indurain race on this bike?

Big Mig used to kick the crap outta guys with that bike. ‘The Sword’, as it was called. There has to be photos somewhere of the '94 & '95 TDF with him on it.

The next photo, his 1996 Olympic TT bike is a beauty too. He actually used that “traditional” frame in Atlanta instead of The Sword b/c the course was hilly & technical. Another item of interest is that that is not the wheelset he raced on in Atlanta. He actually raced on a set of Shamal’s, not the disk. And still averaged like 32mph! I was there; an amazing sight to see him going full-on!

Yup, both a track version and a road version. . .

Hour record. . .

Indurain has(had) so much raw power. It was great to see a guy just shatter other t/t’er’s on such a conventional rig(regarding the 96’ olympics).
