Big Mig used to kick the crap outta guys with that bike. ‘The Sword’, as it was called. There has to be photos somewhere of the '94 & '95 TDF with him on it.
The next photo, his 1996 Olympic TT bike is a beauty too. He actually used that “traditional” frame in Atlanta instead of The Sword b/c the course was hilly & technical. Another item of interest is that that is not the wheelset he raced on in Atlanta. He actually raced on a set of Shamal’s, not the disk. And still averaged like 32mph! I was there; an amazing sight to see him going full-on!

Indurain has(had) so much raw power. It was great to see a guy just shatter other t/t’er’s on such a conventional rig(regarding the 96’ olympics).
