Cinncinati peeps, Field Trip?

Seems as though a rather interesting and controversial museum has been built in your backyard. Can we get some supporters of both views to go and take a gander and report back?

Hmmm … I never knew this was here! I haven’t even been to the Freedom Center Museum yet (black slaves that made it across the OH river from the south to Ohio were free as that was the Mason-Dixon Line). Don’t know why it was built here in Cincy though. Too many museums and so little time. Wife likes the Art Museum. Kids like the Museum Center (kids museum/playhouse, natural history, etc.). I like the Rock n’ Roll museum in my old stomping grounds best though

My boys like the fish museum, aka the Newport Aquarium. The Children’s Museum is also pretty cool…that tree house part is really cool…

Yeah, the aquarium is very nice, but expensive. That huge tree-house thing is great, but the kids can be “lost” in there for hours as the parents are sitting down around the fish staring at each other … Personally, I like the room full of balls - I can get a workout in on that stationary bike thingy that moves the ball up the conveyor belt

A fellow I work with is going - I’ll let you know.

Kind of a long drive, The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago is a lot closer - it’s been around since 1893. They have a research staff of a couple of hundred scientists. They also have displays of dinosaurs and fossils. Last time I was there they had a signed first edition of The *Origins of Species *on display. Cool place.

I bet the kids are excited when the minivan is taking them there on a nice Saturday afternoon. It’s probably a real popular field trip destination for the home-schoolers.

the content of the art muesums would be much better, and you won’t risk getting punched in the face by an aethiest, either.
