Ciclosport HAC4 input

Hello,

Anyone out there familar with this computer? How does it compare to the Polar 720? Thanks…Brian

After cadence and computer hookups the HAC4 runs around $500 USD. I would rather spend an extra $200 and get a PowerTap Pro and have reliable power.

The HAC4 bases its power reading from speed and elevation gain. But gets it’s elevation from barometric pressure and is only accurate to something like ± 20%. All that said, I owned one for a while and was happy with it, the software is nice and generates nice reports and graphs but I would never have spent the money on it myself. And I now use a PowerTap.

Good luck. Feel free to message me if you have more questions.

I bought one new on Ebay for $200 (including cadence). I don’t much bother with the Power functionality as I don’t have much faith in it (however, I have to admit that whenever I compare its readings to those I generate on analyticcycling.com for a given climb they’re very close). What I do like is all of its other functionality, especially the integrated heart rate monitor. Don’t spend $400 on it, but I’d recommend it for $200.
