I don’t remember the Reps being so outright insulting of the American people as the Dems. Maybe they had the same contempt, but at least they didn’t come right out and say it.
The American people don’t care. He isn’t being insulting he is telling the truth. “We can do what we want because the American people don’t care.”
All politicians have have to do is say pretty words and do something. That something does not have to be correct or the words truthful. Just give the people what they want.
Unfortunately, there’s nothing new here. Democrat elected officials are almost universal in their contempt for the people they profess to serve. Some do a better job of hiding it than others.
Of course, the people that vote for them will make excuses and bury their heads in the sand pretending that it just isn’t so. Perhaps those Democrat elected officials have a point…

Schumer’s comments caused a $1 bil run on IndyMac Bank, which essentially ruined them. I’m glad he is getting sued by the shareholders.
