Interesting that the blog is an almost exact transcript of the speech she gave at the awards ceremony, which she delivered brilliantly without notes.
So I would guess that she wrote the speech, memorised it, delivered it perfectly, then transcribed it to her blog.
A good example of excellent preparation followed by excellent execution that simply looks effortless. Like how she races, methinks.
In any case, she was all class, as always.
BTW, she choked up a little when she said: “I wanted to prove to myself, and others, that despite the changes I still race with the same head, and the same heart and the same passion inside. And that’s what matters.” Quite an emotional moment in an otherwise light-hearted speech. There’s no question about the passion.
Vernay (men’s winner) commented that he hates following Chrissie at acceptance speeches - she’s a hard act to follow.

What’s “chuffed” mean? Is it like “stoked”?
That’s a genius piece of writing, I reckon there’s at least half a dozen sexual references in there…
