She’s a beast.

think her run was 2:59:15 so even better i think the link above is the 2008 results
.

the link has the same numbers as ironman.com for the 09 results.

Any pictures?

I got all excited when she started riding a Cannondale because it means my bike and I are that much cooler!

If you watch the LIVE video now, Chrissie is there at the finish line congratulating all finishers crossing the line. Great example of true sportsmanship

I love her style! She’s an incredible champion for the sport. I love the respect she shows for the race and the other athletes. I would guess we are watching the emergence of another great one.

I was at the race today and she was absolutely amazing, within 6 minutes of the main pack of pro men after 60k on the bike and the her race was NEVER in doubt…

she wasn’t on a ‘cannondale’, she was on a ‘dorel’ (the holding company that owns cannondale) …

Which begs a bigger question. How could Cevelo not sign a multi-IM champ and current World Champ to a multi-year deal. Baffling in my opinion

i know how: they didn’t need to.

because even with their minimal tri sponsorship program, they still can’t make tri bikes fast enough to satisfy demand.

they put the big bucks into the windtunnel, instead of into athlete marketing (like dorel and the other bike conglomerates) …

I’d say her current wins already make her one of the great ones. The list of women with her record is probably pretty short.

sweet! thanks.

No it means your bike may be that much cooler. You however will need a lot more help than that

when addressing her you need to momentarily change your hand to “mrs”

 hehe

yaa ive seen her training in boulder a few times… it’s always awesome motivation to see the greatest people out there training.

She swims at Flatirons Athletic Club a lot. I do my very best to stay on the opposite side of the pool from her, because her paces are half of mine.

Yike…she’d be laughed outta ST if not for her finish times:
No flat back Regular helmet Flapping Pony Tail Forearms pointing down Non aero base bars

Too bad we can’t see her engine/FTP in the picture…must be 400W

More like the fact that putting your bikes under pro tour riders is what sells more bikes to triathletes, not putting your bikes under top triathletes. With Specialized having outbid them for Saxo Bank all the big bucks of sponsorship money is going into the Cervelo Test Team, so Chrissie couldnt get what she was worth from them.

Twenty-four minutes ahead of 2nd place. Another dominant performance.

Can anyone tell if she was riding clinchers or tubulars on the Heds?
