Great news for this race.
If people recall, last year Crowie commented post race that the 70.3 world championships should be held on a course like Kansas 70.3. I know is has been modified a bit, but mainly to make it more fan friendly, with out making it any easier, from what I have been told.
Isnt she the 2nd World Champion who is confirmed for this race? Terenzo Bozone being the other. Stacking up to be a solid pro field.
Yes the course is a fair and honest course. Not too tough not too easy. The course has changed a little bit…not necessarily any easier probably faster though. The course is not an excessive slow course though…if you look at the pro’s times they aren’t that far off of other races times. It depends on the winds…there is ALWAYS a northbound wind. So athletes will sail back into the park.
Unfortunately, Terenzo will not be racing in Kansas this year…he is doing Eagleman I believe…to much of the disappointment of my wife. I have never seen her so interested in Triathlon then when Terenzo stayed with us for the week…
ha! Actually my kids ask about him all the time…he is a great guy. Fun times.
I am excited to see what kind of time Chrissie can lay down on the course…the bike is a fair course but the run is pancake flat so she should be able to lay down a fast time.
