hmmm…Bontrager perhaps???
It is a team Issue only (at least for now) Bontrager- I am guessing they will supply the Speed Concept with the same bar for cable routing/stack purposes.
Anyone know if Lieto was running Aeolus 9.0 clinchers or tubulars?
He is a tubie fan- hope someone else glued them. I have seen chris’ glue jobs.
What I’m wondering is. According to a report on a tri website, this bike wont be issued to the public, till 2011. Seems odd, to wait that far ahead. Are they conceding that they wont try and have the next big thing on a yearly basis or will the next “it” being coming out in 2013. Of course the bike design itself doenst change all that much, but I would think generally the bike companies try and find ways to improve the aero and the equipment yearly. By 2011, this design could be on the way out, or it could be the best design out there. I’m just curious as why they are not releasing it to the public sooner.
according to cyclingnews.com:
Though most of the design work has been completed, there is still more to be done to make the Speed Concept easier to assemble and maintain for non-Pro Tour mechanics.
I thought all bikes used in the TdF had to be made available to the public under the new UCI rule. Seems odd that the rule has no time constraints so that a bike used in the 2009 TdF can be made available 2 years later and still comply with the rule.
