OMG! I don’t smoke, but as a joke I’ve actually thought about buying a pack of cigarettes and carrying it with me at IMMoo…smacking the pack in my hands every once in a while, or taking one out and asking the guy next to me on the run if he has a light. That would be freaking hilarious! Or putting one in your mouth just as you cross the finish line - THAT would be an awesome finishers photo! “Man SMOKES while competing in an Ironman!”

Smokers are people too. It is a great thing that they are able to participate and there is no reason you should take offense to them. You do not understand how hard it is to quit smoking. You do not have all of the facts. There are many reasons why these people can’t “just stop” and even suggesting that they do is further proof that you are an elitist! If you were a true triathlete and or a good person you would spend less time noticing others shortcomings and more time focused on what you are doing. Repent pink boy!

There was a hybrid type comfort bike in the first rack when you entered the transition area comming from navy pier that had a baby seat mounted on it. I thought it looked pretty cool.
I think that there is some space near Waco Texas that I could build a new fortress on…when I am king this whole PC thing is going out!!!

My most interesting sight was half way through the swim when I decided I had a bum draft. Why isn’t he kicking more?? Quick look up - oh yea, there’s only so much kicking one can do with one leg. The PC athletes in the EAG wave were awesome, many kicked my butt in the water.

Met a lady years ago after the nyc marathon who told me that she “stopped in queens to smoke a fag”. Once I figured out that she was using english slang for a cigarette it only bothered me because she beat me by ten minutes. But then I was fatter then, is that a good excuse?
