Chicago Tri Expo: New Reynolds Wheels / Roark

Here are some goodies from the expo. There were a few of the Specialized Transitions around, too. I didn’t take any pics, though. They’re much better to look at in person. The new Specialized tri-saddle looks nice and comes in two different nose widths.

Here are the pics.

We’ve seen this Roark before, but it’s just so pretty:

Here are the new Reynolds wheels. They’re 66mm deep and the rep said they’re coming in at 1350g. They appear to have the same rim shape as the Stratus DV46mm wheels. The bike is nice, too.

How about the new Orbea. Well, apparently not that new, but I hadn’t seen it. Thing looks like a friggin stealth fighter.

Yes. The Orbea is nice. I hadn’t seen the Pro earobars before. Pretty nice. But how 'bout that hot redhead working the BlueSeventy booth!

Holy spacers/raiser on the BMC!

Yeah, what is that? is it like an aero seat post to adjust the bar height?

Is the hot redhead racing, or should I look for her cheering along the course.

Will the new Reynolds be offered as clinchers, or tubulars only?

She’ll be cheering. Look for her at the waterstation near mile 4.

Was the expo mainly bikes and components? Was there any information on upcoming 2008 wetsuits?

It’s not like Interbike…mostly vendors selling the same stuff as always. The Roark booth was pretty nice though. As someone mentioned, there were several of the new Spec. Transitions, including one they were setting up for Conrad Stoltz to try out in today’s race. It’s got quite the seatpost for him! Lots of Giro Advantage IIs for sale too.

Thanks for the info. I’m really interested in the new Transitions. My LBS will carry them. It is next on my list for a new bike. I’m hoping to get this next year, if not, definitely before IMCDA '09.
