Who is going to be in Chicago next weekend?

It’s the way you asked the question. I’m almost always here in Chicago. I will be doing some little triathlon here this weekend.
I’ll be there. I’ll be the one who will probably break down and cry because I can’t find my bike in T1. I have enough trouble with small to average size races.

I will be in the olympic distance race. Nobody run me over on the swim. My elbows can give as good as they get.
Me (glyn) and marg will be there. my knee is bust after vineman last week so I am planning on walking the run course but better than not competing at all eh?
Considering the size of the race a better question may be who is not going to be in Chicago?

I’ll be there trying to make up for the worst tri of my life in last year’s Chi sprint where my goggles fogged up at the start of the swim and I learned how incapacitating hyperventilation can be. I’ll be gulping big time air on the swim and shooting for placing in my age group. Good luck to everybody. Let’s meet at the beer tent when it opens at 11 a.m.
I’ll be there as a spectator and a ram rod for a few people I’ve helped get ready for their first race.
After last years experience I have decided to take a break from the localist of events for me. Last year I thought 7000 were too many people for this race but apparently they’ve made room for an additional 500 just to be sure everyone is nice and cozy.

Yes, Glyn and I will be there racing. We are flying in from Los Angeles on Friday. One of those races you have to do just once. The 7,500 racers seems like it is going to be chaotic but that is what this race is known for over the years. Looking forward to a great race…will have a slowtwitch hat on over the weekend…say hello to us!!!

Of course the Expo at the Accenture Triathlon is awesome too! I was just talking with the guys at The BIke Shop (Rich and Chris) and they are: Raffling off a Lance Armstrong TT frame, there will be Retro fits by John Cobb, FIST fittings…and Lauren Jensen and Nicole DeBoom will be in their booth for awhile too.
The Expo is great at this race!
I’ll be there doing to sprint trying to improve a 5th in AG last year. I’ll be in 35-39AG was in 30-35 last year. Looks like cool weather and water.
I aged up also, 55-59. Looks like the weather will be better than last year. Hopefully we will hear our names at the award ceremony. I won’t if I have a swim from hell like last year. Good luck.

7000 –– 7500? What’s the difference? (Please don’t say 500)
7,500 people trying to enter the transition area between 4:30 and 6 a.m. Not looking forward to that.
