So is it bad to allow our guys to torture suspected terrorists, “only when we think they have information that can save the lives of Americans”? That seems like a pretty good reason to me.
I wonder if it opens the door for Americans to get tortured by the other side? Maybe the other side would torture our guys whether we did it or not?
I think the Israelis are pretty succesful at torturing Palestinians they capture, and this has helped stop a lot of suicide bombings.

We should take a page from the Israeli handbook when it comes to tactics and torture.
