That is just a new CS unit, not the Power Sensor. The Power Sensor is a separate unit. The unit is showing wattage, but needs the Power Sensor to show wattage, left/right balance and Pedaling Index

Is it the same power sensor as with the previous polar chain device?. I wonder if Polar has introduced any major changes in its design for this new units.

Will this one actually work and be accurate?,or should I stop waiting around and go the SRM??,I am waiting for a cheaper one to come a long ,heard Shimano are looking at 2008 to release there power meter?, a price of around $800?

Where did you hear that ? That would be interesting as their manufacturing/ distribution network would make power products plummet to near HRM levels.
