Very cool bike…

Nice, but I don’t think I could throw it very far.

I bet that seatpost weighs 500+ grams, maybe 700+. Oh, I forgot…weight doesn’t matter in TT/Tri, only aero!!

I just bought one of those (size M, off ebay) and am in the process of building it up. Mine is sans stickers, though, and has Breezer type reas dropouts. I put a QR Carbonaero fork, and am piecing the rest together with old parts. Only trouble I’m having is the cable stops for the shifter cables on the boom tube – the boss is just a vertical piece of steel with around hole in it. Oh, that and the fact that there’s about a 1/2" gap between a 53 chainring and the front derailleur…

Sweet frame though.

I have some Campy cable stops if you need them.

Got any pictures?

Can you comment on the sizing? It looks super adjustable, but I was just wondering if you could shed some light on the actual measurements or even rough correspondances (eg. you ride a 54 cm P3C with the seat way up and forward and a -30 degree stem, and you can achieve that same position on the medium javelin, or something)?

“there’s about a 1/2” gap between a 53 chainring and the front derailleur… "

    • So the obvious solution is a 58-60 tooth big ring!! No problem…

Fortunately the bike uses 650 wheels, so a 56 or so wouldn’t rip my legs off too badly.

I can get some - they are standard Campy down tube cable stops. They fit square and round posts.

Wish I could – I actually haven’t been ON the thing yet. I ride a 56 roadie, and probably a 54 or 53 tri bike. THough what I’m now (an early QR ti frame without stickers, so I’d hesitate to call it a TiPhoon) riding is larger. I do ride steep (78* plus), and with the seat on the forward locations on the Jav seat mast, I still have some rails to go farther forward if I want to. The top tube is shorter than what I’m riding now, but I’m only sporting a 60mm stem on that one – I have an upsloping 115 on the Jav and it’s almost spot-on the same fore-aft with the stem clamp. But… The head tube is SHORT, so it can go SUPER aggressive on the front end. I’ll pot pics of both bikes when I get the Jav “complete” enough to ride.

The post isn’t round – there’s no post at all. It’s a plate welded onto the boom tube, oriented with the flats to the side, and a round hole drilled through it laterally… Damn, wish I had a picture…
