Looks like a bad thing waiting to happen to me. I used to know someone over in Princeton NJ who rode a Feather. Russian made, light as a … He loved it. Does anyone know anything else about Feather bicycles?
Man if he ever goes down in the aerobars… recipe for two very broken arms…
interesting thing… and i thought that my friends were weight weenies… goes to show you what free time and an engineering degree will get you…
like these:

The stems are pretty weird.
If you have to brake quickly you are going to be in a bit of trouble! (not sure that that setup would be legal because of that)
Is that a home fab? Your carbon looks really good. But where are the brakes? And what’s the backward pointing thingie on the stem for?
My main point with the original link was simply that I’ve never seen anyone try to mount aero bars below the normal bar (save the Scott “Drop-In”, but that wasn’t forward anyway). Even trying to transition to the brakes in a hurry could make me crash on that rig. (And as was pointed out, a crash in the aero bars would be UG-LY!)
Now THIS is a Frankenbike! Seems to be an awful lot of effort for little or no gain, especially when you can get a lighter bike off the shelf these days. This guy seems more of a chronic tinkerer than anything else.
not mine, but definately a home project

Looks like something Batman would ride
