The Dutch take their cycling very seriously!
Nice brakes, light but i always wonder when installing something with all of the cutouts how it affects the aerodnamics, The second site has some neat parts
.
I thikn they would be ideal for a road bike. I want to get zero gravity brakes on my next road bike.
Sorry, when I see something like that, all I think about are all the built-in stress risers…
Now those cranks on the ExtraLite site are cool.
As a machinist i have thought about building something like this but the brakes are one of the places i do not want a breakage to happen, maybe someone designed them for recumbent frames
.
Been there and done that with lightweight brakes. No possible way is it worth it.
I suppose I should add to this that I’ve ridden the Brew brakes for years. Back when I weighed 150, they were fine – I basically felt they were just as good as the Shimano Ultegra dual pivots (wish I had those old single pivots). When my weight went up to about 200 from a serious and lengthy affair with weight training, they got downright scary on twisting descents. Now that I’m back down to 165, they’re okay again.
Brider, so are we OK now?
