i have awesome base layers for spring/fall/winter, they are reebok brand shirts that were $10-$15 at a department store. they’re too thick for summer use, though.
i’m looking for very light, very cheap base layers. i don’t need anything super-awesome like craft (although that would be on my “if i win the lottery” list).
any recommendations?
Champion @ Target. I wrote a post about the stuff “In Praise of Target”. YOu can find very light t shirts for <$5.
I second Target, also Walmart has some cheap stuff that has worked for me.

If you’re near one, I’ve had much good luck at the Saucony Outlet store. They’ll often sell all kinds of surplus salesman’s samples for $5-$15 per item, including items that can retial for $75+. It’s hit or miss, but when you hit there, it’s sweet.
