Charlotte NC gyms

I’m heading up to Charlotte tomorrow and was hoping to get a couple of workouts in during the early AM, but don’t want to pay $30 per day. Anyone have any suggestions? I’m in the East Meck HS area.

Thanks.

lot’s of good YMCA’s that would likely be more in the $10 range, there is also a good aquatic center downtown http://www.swimmersguide.com/query/Detail.cfm?PoolID=222
.

Mecklenburg Aquatic Center. The Aquatic’s center has some other equipment and a nice pool. Long course is set up at times, but you would have to check the schedule.

Just pay the resident fee.which I think is $5.00. I have never been asked for an ID.

Does the Aquatic Center have a gym? All I need are dumbbells and a pull up bar. Nothing else.

There is a small gym, just can’t remember what they have. Should have a pull up bar, though. I tried to open the fitness link on the page I sent you and it would not open. Give them a call. I go to the Aquatic’s center once or twice a year when I’m visiting Charlotte.

Should have everything you need. Cut and pasted from the site:

1-meter and 3-meter diving boards, a 25 yard instructional warm pool, a 50-meter by 25-yard competition pool, an adult-only spa, male and female locker rooms and a full circuit fitness center. The fitness center includes full-circuit Nautilus variable weight resistance equipment, 3 treadmills, 2 elliptical crosstrainers, precor stepper, Atlantis Multi station, dumbbells and more. **

This is a HUGE help. Thank you Lisa very much.
