Has anyone here ordered custom apparel from Champion Systems? Any advice on sizing, etc? I am ordering full team kits (road and tri) for about 50 people.
My biggest question is has anyone ordered the Elite tri vs. regular tri apparel? Is the upgrade worth it at nearly twice the price?
Sizing runs pretty similar to “common” sizing… so, let’s say you’re a M in a set of Pearl Izumi shorts or jersey… you’d be the same in Champsys.
As far as the difference… I have two sets of tri clothing, one regular and one elite, coming around Apr 25th of this month… if you haven’t gotten an answer by then as to the “real world” difference, I will let you know!!
Yes, I find the sizing about the same as others (previous kits from Hincapie) to slightly smaller/Euro fit (esp the race vs. club cut). We only use them this year for roadie kits - tri kits were from LG, so can’t comment on that. They are fine. Not as nice as Verge, LG, Hincapie, etc., but much cheaper.
just ordered some custom tri gear for my team. Sizing was normal but confusing. You can request sizing samples if you really want for free (as long as they are returned on time). Called them a few times with questions and they were quick and friendly. And they do good work too.
Tri stuff sizing pretty straight forward.
Regular stuff is good, got a close up of the ITU suit this past weekend, looks really good. Still waiting to see a dimpled TT skinsuit.
Cycling sizing kits for euro and us cuts are a little tricky especially for the tall and thin.
Been working with them for over 2 years, no complaints.

just a note, if you are ordering 24+ pieces per style you might find better pricing and product elsewhere. Champion is great but their real sweet spot is low qty orders. I work for Sugoi btw and at least with our tri stuff at 24+ pieces we’re a bit lower than Champion and offer full color printing as well.

you should get a fit kit. I thought the sizing was fairly normal though. I HATE the bands on the shorts. But otherwise the suit is fine.
