Chamois cream (1)

This might sound like a trivial question…

I use the Assos Chamois cream for my road bibs, but can you smear on the fleece lining of tri shorts (one piece etc) without running the risk of wrecking the nylon fabric?

Any thoughts?

We’ve used it on tri shorts and one piece tri suits with no issues surrounding accelerated wear. Seems to work fairly well. Some of it does rinse off during the swim but there is enough left to still provide some benefit.

Thanks, then I will smear them in. My tackle was a bit sore after the first ride today with a fleece liner.

Bag Balm is about 30x less expensive, and better imo…

Bag Balm is a salve originally intended to soothe irritation on cows’ udders…”

Guess it works for sore giblets on cyclists to.

I’m sure it works wonders

That would be correct

Great product name. I’ll have to buy some just to look at the name and laugh.

LMAO!!! i NEVER thought of that!! oh shite i have tears running down my face!

I have the single use packs, great to put in the bike and run special needs bag at IM.

I use copious amounts of Assos on my bibs and Tri suits. Sure some does rinse off in the swim, but there is plenty left for the bike. Love the stuff.

In my rush to go out for a ride, I have slapped on regular moisteurizer(don’t last), KY Gel(ditto), vaseline (ok), Udder balm aka Bag Balm works great as someone said, but I recommend Burt’s Bees Hand Salve. Even after a swim, my boys stays greased.
Too much information, I know…

I think you can. If it does make them wear out faster, it is worth it IMO. St Khai turned me on to chamois cream at camp and my unborn children thank him.
