What I ride:
- Lanzarote Setup (strong winds, hilly, tricky downhills)
Quintana Roo Caliente (Aluminium Version) with Hed Ardennes and Road Bar with Clip On Aerobars
- IM-Austria Setup (fast course, less hilly)
Quintana Roo Caliente (Aluminium Version) with Xentis Mark 1 wheels and Profile Carbon X Aerobar - disc is an option but 250g heavier
- Florida Setup (pancake flat)
like IM-Austria but with Hed Jet Disc in the rear
Lets PLEASE leave position and training on the side for now, not discuss the finer points of wetsuit selection and stay with the question:
-
How much time on each of the 3 courses would a newer frame safe due to frame aerodynamics
-
How much time would another wheelset safe based on aerodynamic considerations
Position, training, handlebar selection, gearing … all important but fixed for me. But a new frameset/Wheelset could be interesting. Confusing for me is mainly how much real time advantage do modern frames deliver and is there any real information, how much time another wheelset would yield?
Frame options: Cervelo P2, Cannondale Slice, Canyon Ultimate CF, Kuota Kalibur, QR Lucero
Wheel Options: Hed Jet 60 frontwheel (with the disc), maybe even hed jet 90 front?, use the disc in IMA (but it is heavy), Xentis Mark 1 TT, Hed3C front
