I have recently replaced my stock guru ‘aero’ fork for a much lighter cervelo wolf carbon fork, and was wondering if anyone knew anything about the aerodynamic difference between the 2 forks. The bike shop seemed to think the wolf was better, but i haven’t been able to find anything emperical.
anyone?
Gerard has claimed that it’s as aero as anything UCI legal, and actually slightly more aero than the chord (which of course is not UCI legal). this due to more experience in knowledge in what it takes to be aero next to a spinning wheel.
my assumption is that this is a spinning spoked wheel, quite likely a 404 given that CSC uses zipps, and the wolf was made for the csc team.
all that aside, it’s one sweet looking fork if you ask me.
