Cervelo Sizing (4)

I am trying to figure out if a 56 P2 or P3 would be fine for me. I have pt my measurements into a calculator and I get different avenues. I am 6’1 and some say yes a 56 will work. Obviously I should go to the LBS but I am just trying to get some other opinions out there. I have a 34-35 inch inseam as well.

I don’t have an informed opinion to give advice from, but clarifying whether that’s your pants inseam or cycling inseam might give more knowledgable people more to go off of.

Sorry my cycling inseam
.

I just today got fitted on a P5, so slightly different bike, but same rough geometry I would imagine. I thought I would be a 56, but they reckon actually a 58. I am 6 foot 1 tall, but I have a dis-proportionaly long torso than legs. I think my inseam is 35 off the top of my head. Bottom line, before spending big money, get a fit. I am also getting a Retul fit ontop of that to make doubly sure!

just to add one thing to consider, if you are talking new P2/P3, they are much different fit than old P2/P3. You will likely be at least one size different depending on the year of the bike.

Yeah thats what I was wondering. Would a 2013 or @014 56 be ok?

I can’t tell you that, I can tell you that on an old P3, I would ride a slammed size 51 and on a new P3, I would slam a size 48 and still not be as low as I was.

I’m 6,1. Professional fit told me new p3 is size 56. Old p3 size 58

It’s really going to depend on how you fit and how low you want to ride. I’m 6’ -6’1" and have always rode a 54 in Cervelo p3-p4-p5.

6’1" with a 35" inseam would mean you are not long torso’d. If anything, it would mean your legs are on the longer side for your height (although not by a whole lot)

Based on 71in height and 35in inseam

Yellow dot shows that you are very slightly on the long torso side (by 6mm or 1/4 of an inch). Sorry for the misnaming of the dot - I just looked at the OPs name when I did the chart.

The 58 P5 is a big bike unless you particularly need the stack height (bad back, inflexible etc) and will be quite long unless you are sitting very forward.
I’d suggest getting fit on a fit bike before you buy anything.
Also, if you are still in the process of refining your position the P5 may not be the best option for you. A P3 or P2 with easily adjustable bars will be a lot less hassle to work with if you wish to pursue a better position over time.

curious which size you are pursuing?

2013 56cm

So its hard for me to understand the geometry on the cervelo website so is Effective Top Tube @75 degree seat tube is 573 does this mean that it is 57.3?

573 is 573 millimetres - converts to 57.3 centimetres based on the reach measure used by Cervelo. This is the reach measure NOT the frame size.
