Cervelo S5 Dual Position Seat Post

Is the S5 the same Seat Post size as the S3? Wondering if I could use the S5 dual position post on my S3 bike.

Cheers.

no.

no
also the s5 post two positions are quite different, there is a normal position and a slack position.

the seat posts on the s1/s2/s3 that are dual position, have a normal position and a steep position.

so (excuse my perhaps silly question, but reading specs is like a new foreign language to me) could I take the seat post off my S1 and put it on an S5?
From what I understand, the seat post on my S1 allows me to be at a more appropriate angle for riding on my clip ons. However, the seat post on the S5 only allows me to move forward or to back up, not changing the degree of how I’m sitting…

(Or maybe I’m still confused…)

The old S-series bikes offered 73 degree (rear) and 76 degree (forward) positions.

The S5 geometry chart only shows a 73 degree position, which I assumed was the rear, also assuming that 76 degrees was the forward position.

Jack, are you saying that the two posistions are 73 and ~70? I don’t know what the answer is, but it looks closer to the former option than the latter to me.

ETA - I take it back, the “forward” is 73 degrees

The shape of the posts is different I believe. Don’t use one in the other frame, I’m not sure if they will even fit.
