Cervelo Replacement Frame

If I need to order a frame from Cervelo, how long will delivery take?

I don’t know how long I will be in insurance hell. I can’t really afford to buy a new frame until I know if it will be covered. But… I have a race in March and need my bike fixed.

Any experience?

Rather slow on replacement of a crashed P3SL (in the end with a P2SL) - about two and a half months. However, the rider was severely injured and his season was over, so we didn’t push. Price was about half retail for the frame plus labour to the LBS.

Unfortunately, I think you probably need to figure out an alternative ride while this gets resolved. I got hit in July and got a check in December…

I know that people in similar situations have posted to my cycling club’s forum and have been take care of. I would be surprised if someone in your club didn’t have a bike they could lend/sell you, doesn’t have to be anything super nice.

That’s kind of what I thought. I have my road bike to train on for the meanwhile while I figure something else out. Might have to eat the cost and just order one soon.

what size do you ride ? I think 2Fast4U is selling a tiny P3C in the classifieds.

If you have a bike already what is the problem? You are probably better off on it for group rides anyways.

Thanks! I’m a 48cm, so if it’s tiny it might work.

I have a road bike, yes. But I bought a tri-bike for Ironman and would like be able to use it.

Buy a new one…sell the replacement when you get it! Probably out a few hundred bucks in the process, but if you really want to ride it…

I’m leaning in that direction. I’m going to wait a few weeks to see how everything is shaping up and then make a decision.
