Which is faster? I’ve got an '06 Plasma Pro, buddy has older P3 AL w/650 wheels. Our bike splits are within 2 seconds over 20K (30:08 for me vs 30:10 for him). Both of us run Bell Meteor helmets, 404/Disc combos. I run 3 min faster over 5K, but that’s irrelevant, unless the comfort factor/fit factors in to that.
He says mine is faster, but I don’t. We’d swap, but he rides a 56cm, me a 54cm. Opinions, just so one of use can trash talk the other?
not sure which is “faster”, but my money says the alloy p3 is more aero than the giant-tubed carbon plasma.

I’m going to put my (virtual) money on the P3. To the tune of 30-45 seconds or so over 30K. But I think you should swap for a head-to-head time trial just to make it interesting.

If the sizes were the same we’d swap. I also ride with a lot more drop and a higher saddle. I know from the front his bike looks smaller, but I kill him on hills.
It sounds like you’re bigger than him? Which would imply that, while your frame is great, your position is not if he’s matching you on the flat but not on hills.

54 and 56? Close enough. Change those saddle heights and have at it!
