no real performance enhancement, rather improving aesthetics

ill be sure to post my pic in a few weeks before my A race. have to cut the excess steerer tube, remove the frame pump ect.
I leave the cover untaped until race time. Makes it easier to pump up before each ride.
And, I like my choices for the rest. To each their own… The only change currently in the works is to replace the seattube bottle with a Bontrager Speed Bottle mounted low (See P_Ahart’s bike). Just waiting for the right deal on the bottle.
If I ever replace it, it’ll probably be with a titanium frame, just because I love the looks and the durability (scratches, paint chips, etc.) would be great. Then again, just about any titanium frame out there would likely come with an aero penalty. So,… I’m in no big hurry.
Yes, price-wise. I don’t believe there’s anything out there significantly faster for any price. And, my setup is pretty clean, fits me well and is comfortable. So, it’s probably faster than most of the high-$$$ bikes I see with extra “stuff” hanging off of it, spacer stacks, etc. Not that I wouldn’t love to have a bling ride. But, not at the expense of a good fit.
I originally had a Jet 90 C2 on order. But, after really paying attention to what the female pros (who’s speeds & bike handling skills are much closer to mine than the male pros) were riding on courses with terrain similar to most of my races (ie. rolling-to-hilly), the ~60mm depth was the popular choice by a LARGE margin. So, I put my ego in check and switched to a 60. It’s my only race wheel. So, it has to be versatile.
BTW how do you like those Cee Gees pads. I jsut crushed a brand new set of F22 pads on a 2.5hr ride, and I’m not happpy about it. need something that is going to last more than 50miles of me leaning my forearms on it.
The Cushys are great. I had similar disappointment with the stock Profile pads. I got three years (Yes. You read that right.) out of my previous set of Cushys, and the cushioning was still going strong. The only reason I replaced them was that the top neoprene layer was starting to peel on one of the pads. Definitely worth the ~$20. They are about twice as thick and much more dense than the stock Profile pads, though. So, they do raise you up a bit. Just something to keep in mind…
Very nice. Kinda wish I’d have stuck with the stock Vision cockpit (but with R-bends) instead of switching it out for the T2 Wing/T2+ at time of purchase…
Is that pic from when your bike was new or recent?
