Looking for assistance: Where can i buy multiple pairs of CEP socks? I managed to get a pair on ebay, but i was hoping to find an online store that sells them. I couldn’t seem to locate them on the Jaggad website. Any assistance woudl be greatly appreciated.

What’s special about this brand?

If you don’t need this particular brand, I’m pretty sure they sell compression socks at drug stores, walmart, etc.

Here’s where I got mine

Hello:

I got mine at Hannulink.com, but I just discovered that Ironman.com store is selling them for $10 each CHEAPER. Who would have thunk that? Tim

I have looked at, but not used the drug store type, and I think they are OK if you are going to be sitting in a chair all day and want to avoid DVT, but not good for athletics. I have used CEP socks on a compu trainer three times for two hours each (heavy sweat workouts) and find them to be real athletic socks. I haven’t done any actual running in them, but I think they will work well. Tim

I use the compression socks from Walmart. They’re $4/pair and labeled for air travel. I do make one modification, though… I cut the feet off so that I can use my sock of choice. (I have to have my Balega Enduros for long runs!) Turns out as something like this…

…but for 1/10 the price. The only downside is that you’re limited to navy or black. No issues with them unraveling, etc. (I used Pinking Shears to cut the feet off.) I love them and use them all the time.

Why wouldn’t drug store compression socks be good for athletics? Do they lose their compressive properties when they get wet?

I picked up a pair the other day and have only used them for recovery but I don’t see why they wouldn’t work for running. They’re thin and fairly light weight so I can’t imagine they would absorb sweat or somehow not work while active.

check them out, they will be available soon.
