There are half a dozen people who work out at Gold’s in Hershey that are interested in forming a tri club. A few are experienced and a few are newbies. I know there are half a dozen or so people who read this message board from the area, any of you interested in a tri club? I’m just trying to get a feel for how many people would be interested.
I’m over on the west shore and I’d definitely be interested. I know there are several guys in the Mechanicsburg/Camp Hill/Boiling Springs area that have done IMMOO and IMUSA. One of the guys has done Hawaii a couple times.
That’s great. I’m doing Lake Placid next year as my first IM and it would be nice to have some people with the same training goals.
This is very much in the preliminary stages, but you can send me your e-mail and any other e-mail addresses from people who may be interested and we’ll see if this can get off the ground.

Hay I grew up in Camp Hill and went to Trinnity HS - never knew there were any triathletes in the area. Live in Cleveland now but would join your club. Parents just left the area last year.

I live in Mechanicsburg and think I may know several of the guys you are talking about. Are they members of Yellow Breeches Racing now? I think a bunch of the guys you are talking about on the West Shore may already be members of YBR…I am and there is at least one other guy in YBR that is signed up for IMLP '05. Have you given any thought to joining YBR? There are at least 15 of us that do tris. We have our own ‘group’ within the team.

I live in Hershey and train with four other triathletes that live in Hershey/Hummelstown as well. One of them is training for multiple Ironman races. There already is a Central Pa Tri Club called Yellow Breeches Racing which I belong to. It is based on the West Shore but the East Shore people are growing.
Get your people from the Hershey Gym to come out and ride with us on Tuesday and Thursday nights from the Hershey Theature at 5:30. It’s a good time.
