Center Pull Brake Setup

Question for anyone else who has setup a center pull brake on the front of their Tri Bike. How do you stop the brake squealing?

I recently purchased the Campy center pull brake and put it on my Felt DA. The brake is sold as a rear brake. So I flipped the brake pads (holders and all) from one side to the other and this helped the brakes be more parallel to the brake track, but the tail of the brake pads still contact the rim first. Is there an easy solution to get the front of the pad to contact the rim first? Or am I into full on MacGyver mode to get this setup nailed down?

The brake pad holders should be mounted on a semi-spherical nut that allows you to pivot the brake pad. If the bolts are pre set to allow for a certain amount of toe they should have been reversed when you swapped the holders from one side to the other.

It was clear thepad holders were tightening into a ball type socketed nut. However, the washer or spacer between the pad holder and the brake caliper arm had two parallel surfaces so that I could not manipulate the oreintation of the pad/pad holder. This is where I thought I could “MacGyver” a different washer/spacer with a parallelogram shape when viewed from the side so that by rotating it I could affect the pad holder/pad so that the front of the pads contact first.

Not the hardest thing to do, but I thought I would check if there was something easier that I was missing.
