Center pull brake set ups. Lets see them

Just putting the finishing touches on my new build and I am going to go with a center pull brake set up. I would like to see what everyone has done with their set ups.

Second part of the post is to see what you did for a rear brake as well. Did you go aero on the back and how did you do that.

What type of Crank is that on the Cervelo!> Sexy
.

Looks like a zipp crank
.

Nice! I have those from my steel Guerciotti early time trial bike.

How do you go with a center pull break with a bpconventional road fork. Guessing a adapter of sorts nut where would u get one?

Thanks for the update on that crank! 12 lb. bike thats amazing!!!

comes with a built in adaptor. I have a set of center pull brakes right now but have a T726R coming next week which is what I am really wanting. I bought brakes for the Ebay frame but then decided to go with a different frame but the brakes were already ordered. So the Warp (like tektro T726R) brake can work on the front, it is not ideal. The bracket is designed to be used under a chainstay. The front brake that came with the set is a 925 tektro but I do not like the side entry housing but I might try to adapt it to the rear of the bike but will need a better noodle to run the cable better.

Pics not that great

Have the shoes, cinelli tt helmet ect to go with

T726R is on the way from the UK so now I just have to sort out which cable hanger I am going to go with. I did steal these images from ebay.

Hah, so is mine
.

Ordered it last night and was shipped this morning. Great service and since it is being shipped Royal post to Canada it will be here in days and no duty or taxes to pay. YES I love when the pound is low. Not buying anything from the States any more.

Wiggle or ProBike? or something better

Here is my gehto centre pull
It is a modified rear 725 tektro, once i got it “adjusted” properly it stops very well.

I am getting a ton of PM’s so here is the website. I have nothing to do with them other than buying a brake yesterday from them.

I would take that bracket to the bench grinder and take the top part off.

Re: Top bracket: I got to save somethings for the winter project list

Thanks for the link: PBK has been getting slower, slower the past couple of orders.

Chain Reaction has been very good with their shipping and pricing but they do not carry the T726R brake. Everything else from them has been to me within a week and like I said, very inexpensive.

Honest question, Why centerpull as opposed to dual pivot?

Honest question, Why centerpull as opposed to dual pivot? Is there a benefit outside of using them on a CX bike?

about 12 seconds per 40k time savings due to less drag*

*assuming it is flat and you are not a drafting bastard

Doing 90 km and need to beat my buddy so any advantage will be needed. I also work on his bike for him so his brakes will be rubbing.
