Cateye v2C + HED3

Is it possible to combine a Cateye v2c computer (or the older double wireless)with HED3 wheels? More specifically, if I want to install the wheel magnet per the recommendations of HED inside the valve cut out, see here, I would have to put the Cateye speed/cadence center on the drive-train side because that’s the side the cut out is on. This seems like it would work in theory, but also like it might have problems tangling with the drive train. Has anyone ever tried this set up?

If you get a rare earth magnet it might work from the other side.

Most speed/cadence sensors won’t work on the drive side. I wouldn’t even try that. You can always just tape a magent to one of the spokes, that’s what I’ve done on my front H3 as I couldn’t be bothered to move the sensor and the magnet on my training wheels.
