Any suggestions what to do when the cadence/speed sensor doesn’t send out a sync signal? The head unit can sync with another sensor so I know its fine. I changed the batteries in both the sensor and head unit, tried to sand the battery contacts, but I can’t sync the two… ugg… I guess I’m racing with my HRM only… doh.
My wife uses this computer. From what I can remember from the novel that comes with it there is a reset button on the cadence sensor. You have to push that and then have the computer head next to the sensor for about 5 seconds. Going by memory here, there could be more to it.
that’s the problem. I can push the button on the sensor for way more than 5 seconds but the head unit won’t pick it up/sync.
I assume youve put the head unit into sync mode while attempting to sync with the sensor? (Had to ask.)
I ended up trading my 300dw in for a wired Astrale. Couldnt get the sensor to stay still. I knocked off 3 cadence and 2 speed sensor arms. All warrantied by Cateye.
on mine, the pick-up reset button is somewhat finicky…assume that you took out the batteries in the read out, so that it was primed for synch and that you didn’t hold it closer than 20 cms when synching…
I did that last weekend. It’s a PITA. Do as others said and make sure you have that sync button pressed ALL THE WAY IN. That was my problem I did not have it pressed in far enough.
That said, I could not set the clock.
Good luck!
