CatCrap on Giro Selector Visor

OK to do?
Don’t want to ruin the tint on the visor but it fogs up on me.
Thinking the CatCrap may help.
Anyone have any experience with this?

Also have some polarized Oakley radars I was going to use it on.

Hate to “trial and error it” on this stuff.

I’ve never used Cat Crap, but J&J Baby Shampoo works for both the visor and Oakleys.

You can also try RainX wipes.

Seriously, for a moment I was wondering how you ended up with cat crap on your visor. That’s why I clicked on the link. To be honest, I feel a bit cheated out of a really random and possibly interesting story.

I finally gave up on the Selector visor after having to rip it off during a few races due to fogging up. Someone recommended dish soap, but that didn’t help much. I’ve heard mixed reviews of CatCrap… curious to follow this thread…

I’ve also heard of people drilling extra ventilation holes in the visor. But it’s already prone to cracking. I had to replace my first one for that reason.

Haven’t had fog issues, but I do find the adjustment system, or lack of, a bit of a pain. If the helmet doesn’t sit perfectly then you’re left attempting to add padding yourself to try and straighten it out. I wish I could bin that and add their usual Loc 5 system or whatever it is.

Anyway, back to the OP. I used Jaws Spit to clean it and defog although it didn’t fog so it was just a precaution. I assume all of those types of spray thing are the same or similar.

Use dish soap.
