I’m trying to locate any photos online which have a step-by-step demonstration of catch-up as trying to explain this over the phone or via e-mail has proven to be somewhat ineffective. Does anyone have a link?
Thanks!

Thanks - these are solid, but I’m looking for a catch-up drill demo.
Its NOT that difficult…you dont need a video. I was a NCAA swimmer…catch cant get any more simple than this…
take one right arm stroke and touch your left hand before starting the stroke with your left arm…simple as that no video needed.
You cant find a video because you dont need one…ask a lifeguard or a swim coach to show you…come one now!!!
Ah, I guess I should have just explained that to them - thanks for letting me know I don’t need any graphical explanation. This is specifically why it’s so difficult for swimmers at your level to teach newbies how to swim b/c you can’t relate to what it’s like to have zero body awareness in the pool and appreciate this isn’t so simple for someone who just got in the water.
I know what catch-up stroke is, as do you, but try to explain catch-up to someone who just learned to get into the deep end of a pool a month ago, who can barely stay parallel when they swim and they happen to be 2K miles away ![]()
great movies! ![]()
I wish I could swim half like that ![]()
Perfect, thanks!
Yeah, well, those swimmers perfected their technique because when they’re in the pool they want to learn, not the get the workout done…
Opss…Krep, this one must have hurt…!! ![]()
