Cassette wobble Q?

After hurricane Ivan I replaced all the bearings on my HED3s, the fornt is great agin but the rear is still a problem. The cassette, whether 9 or 10sp has play in it, such that I can hear it rattling away as I ride. The play is not side to side but back and forth on the cassette body! Any ideas? I have used three cassettes each with the same results. Is it time for a new cassette body? Or a I missing something?

Still wobbling here, bump
.

HED3 cassette wobble has been discussed several times here. Mine and others have play when you hold the cassette and torque it 90 deg. from the direction of the chain force. HED says that it is fine because it locks into a zone when the chain pressure is put on it. It seems fine, but I have never seen another wheel do that…

IMO there shouldn’t be any play in the cassette. Usually the wheel or hub supplier provides a spacer (to be placed on the hub before the cassestte is installed) to correct this issue (for example my Corima disc came with a spacer).

The cassette fits fine in that it does not move side to side if you were to sit behind the wheel and try to wobble it left to right. It moves back and forth in the direction the wheel moves without the cassette body moving
