Cassette alternatives?

I need a new 10 speed cassette. I would like Dura Ace, but whoa! Price is something!

Are there cheaper alternatives that work just as well and are the same weight?

same weight and cheaper?

no.

but ultegra 10 should do you fine.

I like the SRAM cassettes, esp the 12-26 variety. Otherwise, Ultegra cassettes are fine. Same thing, really - only diff are the larger 3 cogs are Ti for DA.

SRAM cassettes…great quality, and about 1/2 the price of the Shimano models.

check these out…reasonable too!

Go to ebay and pick you up one. If you’re diligent you can pick one up for less than 1/2 the retail cost. Even more if you can find a very little used one.

8-Track?

They are on sale at performancebike and also at lickbike.com
I have 2 sets of Dura Ace 11-23 barely used cassettes about 20-25 miles on them. Send me a PM if you want to get a used one.
I am currently using Dura Ace and before this I had Ultegra and Sram. To be honest Sram is good but I had shifting issues with Dura Ace der and chains. Ultegra cassettes work as smooth as Dura Ace but they are heavier than Dura Ace which has titanium in it.

Ultegra works just fine - not much diff in weight (certainly not enough to justify double the price).

SRAM’s may be cheaper, but my experience is if the rest of your drivetrain is shimano, stick with shimano.
