is it on to use brake pads (carbon) w/ aluminum rims? how will this effect braking performance?
They’ll work, possibly quite well depending on the pads you’re using, but will pick up tiny slivers of aluminium which will then damage your carbon wheels if you switch back and forth. Some people ignore this, some pick the slivers out with tweezers but it’s really best to switch the pads, it’s not exactly a major job.
