Carbon frame and bike trainer question

I start training on my kinetic indoor trainer.
Just wondering if it is okay to use a tt carbon frame? It seems not solid on it like my old aluminum road bike.
I dont have the $ to get a training bike but if going to ruin my tt bike I will get a cheap one.
Thank you.

It isn’t a question of what material the bike is made of, but whether the bike is designed to handle the stress of a trainer or not.

Most of the big brands are ok, you should ask the manufacturer of your bike if you are not sure.

Thank you for correct me . english it is my second language, I still work on.
It is a used 2010 scott plasma 2 ltd, I will try contact scott company and ask then.
Thank you again.

I’ve been riding my 2009 Scott Plasma on the trainer since 2009 without any issue.

I have the luxury of having three bikes so I throw my shittiest one on the trainer (an aluminum Trek Madone) and don’t worry about it.

I takes a lot to mess up carbon fiber so my guess is that a carbon fiber frame would be perfectly fine on a trainer but my two carbon fiber bikes have never seen the trainer… and never will. That stated, if I only had one bike, and it was carbon, I’d use it on the trainer.

Of course it’s OK to use a carbon frame on the trainer. The trainer itself won’t do anything to your bike, all by itself. What you’re really asking is whether your riding style while on the trainer poses a risk to your frame. If you sit quietly on the bike, pedal circles and don’t do anything wacky, you’ll be fine. We’ve been riding carbon frames on our 6 CompuTrainers for years without a mishap.

However, if you stand up sprinting and try to throw the bike side to side, or make sudden moves contrary to your line of travel, you can tear up a solid steel bike. Or fall off the trainer, which we’ve seen from time to time.

Use your noggin’ and remember that you’re on a trainer and not sprinting for a Tour stage win against Cippolini and you’ll never have a problem.

Thank you very much for all your help.
