Maybe one of the companies that markets carbon fiber chain rings has some prototypes they are playing with but as far as I can tell, nobody is marketing a carbon chain for bicycles to the public at the present time.

I would be shocked if this were true. Chain-stay sure, derailleur, sure, but chain itself…I don’t think so. Composites don’t tend to react so well with spinning saw blades (chain rings). If you do find one, please don’t ride in front of me

I concur, a carbon chain (atleast carbon as we know it) would last about 20 minutes.
There are some polymers being used in industrial chan drives. They still have some metal in them and are considerably larger than bike chains.
